Hot Tub Parts

Installing a hot tub is relatively easy, especially with the vast amount of resources available to those who plan to acquire this facility. Nevertheless, individuals who are planning to set up a hot tub need to know its major components as well as the purpose of each one.

First of all, the hot tub controller is the device that runs the blower, pump, and heater of the tub. Most controllers have built-in heaters in them, so technically the controller also acts as the heater.

The second important part is the pump. This circulates water through the hot tub. It is made up of a motor which moves the pump and the actual pump which moves the water in the tub. The pump is one of the most expensive parts of a hot tub, and it is the one which frequently becomes faulty. In addition, this part runs frequently, oftentimes at top speed, and has to pump hot water that contains chemicals and dirt. Hot tub pumps normally last eight to ten years

Third, the hot tub blower, also called a bubbler, is used to add air to the water that is pumped through the jets. This part is the least used and most inexpensive component in a hot tub.

As a final note, if one of the said hot tub parts should fail, a person must decide whether to get an individual replacement or an entire package which includes other related components. By doing so, he can save money and ensure the quality of each part. A good technique is to check how each part is connected to one another.
